Curious George and Me! has an unusual interactive twist—you, the reader, make it up as you go along! Each page has something new to complete, from favorite things to best pets. It’s fun, simple, and packed with an incredible amount of educational value—children can put a star on their home state, fill out their address on a postcard from George, circle the color of their eyes/hair, name favorite clothes, foods, games, and even think about the future, from cars to discoveries to the classic what-do-I-want-to-be-when-I-grow-up?
A modern way to engage with Curious George, featuring photos of real children and (stuffie) George. I think the artwork is so clever. The photos are so happy, and drawings are layered on top to help a child visualize what an imaginary world might look like. Curious George travels through the city, space, sea, mountains, the performace stage, and a harbor. What fun.
A variation on a book that’s been a hit since the 60’s--My Book about Me--this new title is very similar to the original in format but includes new sections focusing on school, favorite things, and more. The nature of the book makes it inappropriate for libraries, as the owner is asked to draw and write in personal answers, but this would make an excellent gift for a preschooler or Kindergarten child.
