Francoise Gilot, a highly regarded international artist of the second half of the twentieth-century, has exhibited her work for more than fifty years in the major art centers of Europe and North America. She remains a vital presence in the art world, creating a bridge between the School of Paris of the 1940s and 1950s and the contemporary American art scene. In addition to her extensive and creative work as a printmaker, Gilot's oeuvre also includes over 1500 oils and more than 5000 works on paper. Her paintings, drawings, and original prints are included in the permanent collections of numerous museums and private collections throughout Europe and the United States.
