2001, trade paperback edition, Mentor Financial Group, Lakewood, CO. 285 pages. Respected title "Selected as one of the top 3 real estate investment titles of all time."
This book was a real eye opener. I haven't yet put the ideas into practice - which I guess is the real test of a book, but it's got some great insights. I found this book recommended in a review of another property book - and I'm so glad I bought a copy.
If you've come across "lease to lease" (or rent to rent) this book builds on these concept and shows how you could buy and sell the property - but it's certainly suitable for someone with no experience of becoming a property investor. It also describes how to remove some of the hassle from being a landlord.
If you're looking for an alternative property investment strategy - then this could be the book for you.
I got the gist (be the middle man for owners trying to sell and rent-to-buy folks who can't buy a house yet, and "solve" both their problems). Interesting concept, not relevant to me personally right now, I may come back to it at some point. It may be more relevant in larger city markets where there are a lot of properties being bought and sold at any given moment. In my rural area it's not as obviously useful.
