My biomolecule ranking: proteins > nucleotides > lipids > carbs. Catch me listing amino acid 3-letter codes in my sleep. Stars off for (1) glycolysis and (2) the citric acid cycle. Everything beyond "mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell" I have learned against my will.

the amount of time I spent reading these silly books means that they’re getting logged here.

Excellent coverage of biochemistry material. Explanations of terms and concepts were pedagogically efficient.

so unnecessarily hard to get through. Shoutout to Yusuf A. Hasan on YouTube for the chapter by chapter breakdowns. 5 stars for you Yusuf.

Definitely my least favorite out of the three I’ve read so far. Chapter 7-9 brainfucked me too much.

The first few chapters of this book were actually pretty straightforward and not too terrible… the last 4 were especially confusing. There’s a strong chance I’ll have to revisit all of the metabolism information via video supplementation because what the heck was that 😐

Never giving 5 stars to an MCAT book. Overall a good biochem summary. But why would you cram all the super important pathways in 2 chapters. The chapter questions are terrible, not helpful at all
