Every poem is pure gold
This bouquet of poems has turned out to be what I exactly needed. While some poems touched some aspect of my life, letting me reminisce. Others pulled me into a fantasy world, weaving scenes of longing in wonderment.
I was surprised to find thought-provoking quotes by famous posts and writers at the end of every poem. My ebook is full of highlights as I felt each line was telling a story or supporting the title in some sense.
Geetika Saini is my new favorite poetess... For sure.

The poetess begins by defining the difference between love and lust in her own quirky and practical way — and later delves deeper into the modern-day love and lust (lost) stories with her graceful and sensuous word play.
These poems, both byte and bit-sized, on love occupy one-third of the pages of this collection, because the situation and mood created for these romantic poetries are interesting, intimate, sinful and spiritual.
In the mid-portion, Ms Saini touches upon topics like beauty, dreams, magic, woman, and erotica (my favourite of course).
These poems are imaginative at its best, oozing loads of feminine and feministic juices and drenching and wetting the pages literally (no pun intended!)
The final stretch of this book deals with motivating topics such as loss, spirit, resurrection, and self-exploration.
These poetic verses serve as a quest to find the "true" you and your inner strength to fight it out, with hope and humility filled in to always remember that "we are all a speck of dust in a larger playground of cosmic galaxy".
The surprising yet cute topic doggo love is all about our paw-sitive and friendly four-legged fur companion. Indeed, a nice way to end this poetic experience.

Love, lust, and other revelations
- Love & Lust; every human being often stumbles upon these two terms. What one explores as love might be lust from the receiving end. The never-ending cycle of confusion, infatuation, and hallucination continues. What is love and how many forms of love are there? If you ask it any naive lover fallen in love completely can't answer it perfectly neither do the rest of the circle; the same goes for lust. One can't term love as feeling, emotion, choice, drive, or commitment; it is as confusing as that or the simplest of things that can happen to one. In search of meaning and a rational approach to everything, negligence takes over and sways it away. Eleven segments delve into different themes; poetic brilliance with the wordplay paints them with the truest and simplest form of human emotion and feelings. Even after getting this much praise the book still has some drawbacks that can be neglected considering it from a major viewpoint.
A few writeups felt a little bit lost tracked; musings that one writes unconsciously rather showed lacking mindfulness. The numbers of those writings are pretty low though. In the blurb it says all the writeups have been written for 7 years so it can be easily justified that the writings evolve over time; the writeups which felt like drawbacks might have been written in the early days of the writer's career; out of love or out of passion. The anthology has everything; from love to loss, from joy and passion to pain, myriad dreams and vivid pleasures to self-exploration; all placed under one roof - the human emotions, the body, and the soul. Humor, satire, metaphor, and cordial roleplay of words do the remaining job in the nano tales, musings, and poems.

Poetry - the art that possesses the ability to make your heart pound with the finest emotions; A craft that manages to express the most while using the least words! January 2024 edition got me the opportunity to read and share my take on Geetika Saini's Love, Lust, and Other Revelations. And I feel very glad to share that it has ignited the spark to write poetry, again!
This book is divided into 11 different themes that revolve around love. Each section has a varied count of poems that are specific to that respective section. The title particularly enticed me, and trust me the book lived up to what it promised in the title. I want to specifically appreciate the poetess, her poems thoroughly reflect her command over language and literature overall. Her noteworthy experience is visible in her poems. All the poems make an impression however, a few that kept lingering in my mind even after reading the whole book are A Tryst, One Fine Day, Eye See You, Just Sit With Me, Relief, Morning, The Best Minute, At Home, A Proposal, A Letter, Answered Prayers, A Kaleidoscope, Kintsukuroi. The way Geetika beautifully brings analogy in her poems is something I loved the most.
The cover is attractive and vibrant. Published with Notion Press and paperback version being priced at 249/-, this book is also available in Kindle version and makes a decent read for poetry lovers!

We all have inculcated love since we are born..no body teaches us to hate.
But as we grow we see this same feeling of love often replicate with lust.
The problem is, how to recognise if it's love or lust?
Revolving around the same prospect comes an effort of the author to pen down thoughtful words that ignite within you innumerable questions who's answer are still not found.
I'm totality the book is a thoughtful approach towards a very important concern that dwell in today's time.
Written with pure emotions and thoughts made the book a genuine read to indulge in.
But as we grow we see this same feeling of love often replicate with lust.
The problem is, how to recognise if it's love or lust?
Revolving around the same prospect comes an effort of the author to pen down thoughtful words that ignite within you innumerable questions who's answer are still not found.

Yet another thing which made this collection unique is carrying eroticism so beautiful and clean. Though the erotic poetries isn't suitable for children to read, the author dealt this segment well where the teenagers or aspiring poets to give a clear cut idea of how to conceive and write erotic poetries in a unique. Because, one thing is the poetries around this topic has no explicit words and yet seductive when it perceive. Another thing is, writing or speaking erotic relationship is taboo subject in reality. The author dealt this topic and crafted in a beautiful way. But the author sometimes exploits reader's perception in here too and that is very much unique in such a way.

The book is divided into eleven chapters: Love, Beauty, Woman, Erotica, Dreams, Magic, Self-Exploration, Spirit, Loss, Resurrection, and Doggo Love. It is an indulgence of purposeful and determined poetic exploration and expression of how the spirit of Love becomes a passion in the author's craftsmanship and life. Typically, the interpretation of poetry is subjective because it relies heavily on the reader’s potential multitude of diverse evaluations of the reading that relate to their emotions and perspectives.
Being a music lover, I read her book from the perspective of the ballad form and rhythm that both music and poetry share. Naturally, I have an invariable infinity for poems as they evoke emotion through their semantic content. I was not disappointed. Saini’s poems are a collection of emotionally evocative and intellectually stimulating works. Her construction of the book into eleven chapters was not a coincidence. The chapter sequence has meaning and significance. The number eleven is considered a master number, meaning it has a unique vibration and a high spiritual and emotional noteworthy level. As each chapter unfolds, there is a heightened sense and connection to the author's intuition, humanity, and sensitivity. It is beautifully written.
One of her shortest poems, “Bleeding Love,” became my favorite because it evoked vivid imagery that accompanied powerful and relatable emotions, especially since I am an elderly person.

I would assume that writing poetry for the author was a form of self-expression, her descriptive interpretation of what love means, and avails a subjective form of poetry intended to express personal emotions and ideas.

allowed Author Geetika Saini to be provocative, to create interest, and to liberate her writings from the ordinary. "Love , lust and other revelations" is a fascinating collection of poems by Geetika saini . Poems are mainly free verse to see, taste, smell , touch and hear the poetess thoughts and emotions.
Most of the poems are highly imaginative , which will tranport you to the world of imaginative feelings and thoughts . Basically they represent the theme of love and lust. One cant term love as feeling , emotion , choice ,drive or commitment , it is as confusing as that or the simplesr of things that can happento one.
There was sudden ease and elegance in author's writing style , which is quite rare to be found in today's time. Her words fell on the paper like a confetti on stage. There was a section in this poetic collection called "Erotica" I found poems of this collection highly tempting and appealing and at the same time , I want to appreciate the deciency of poetess with the way she handled the entire theme.
Poems are mostly heart- touching and heartwarming , they were light and delicate at the same time. Love, lust and other revelations by geetika Saini is a collection of powerful poetries that dives into the spectrum of love, lust, dreams, fear, self exploration & so on. The author has perfectly narrated the slight Difference between love and lust in the beginning chapters. Each and every part of the book is divided into several heart touching poetries that will take you into the mesmerising world of imagination.
One of my favorite parts throughout the whole book was love and doggo love. I found the last part to be very engaging and adorable as I truly connected with the emotions of author she has presented in memories of her lovely dog. All the poems includes classic meanings that hooks the readers till the very end page. The impressive description of small things that we often ignore in our daily lives like sari wore by a woman, conversation between clothes is what I found to be very indulging. Eye-catching graphics added much more magic to the whole book.

🫀I recently got my hands on this very beautiful read that evoked different range of emotions in me and I was completely indulged in it’s sweet, spicy, lingering taste that was hard to let go!
This is a diverse collection of poems basically divided into different topics like love, doggo love, erotica, etc! Each topic has relevant poems under it and I really loved how crisp the division is because for sure you can jump to your favourite one sooner and come back to others later.
Themes like love, loss, dreams and magic had an unending impact on me. I’m a regular poetry consumer and to me I found it very easy to connect with and very easy to understand so I feel even if you’re a beginner it would need much of your mind to find the meaning even though it’s also about wonderful assumptions and conclusions!
The book is a journey that’s filled with stories and colours, wine and blood all at once, indeed a wonderful collection that is definitely recommended!

Love, lust, and Other Revelations is a collection of poetry written by Geetika Sani. As the name of the book suggests this book is so full of feelings and emotions like Love, Lust, and Desire. The poetries written are so vivid and descriptive that you will fall for the authors writing. The author passionately explores themes like Beauty, Magic, Dreams, Loss, and much more.

I think the author has a different writing style that you can sense while reading and that completely makes her unique from the others. But on the other hand, there are poetries that I did not like at all, it happened because I couldn't connect with them or maybe because I felt the same vibe from many poems that bored me and I lose grip on the book but the erotica part of the book was good.

This book is way BETTER than other poetry books. It has poetries on many different topics, like Love, Women, Erotica, Self exploration etc. and I am very much interested into love and all that stuff, so I liked the poetry.
Poetry books speak for themselves, but this one - I'd love to speak here too. The poems felt personal. Like very personal. It felt as if I'm chatting with the author in a coffee shop and we're discussing life, love, lust, and similar stuff.
The book had a nice length and beautiful illustrations on the topic pages (total aesthetic vibes!) but I still cannot get enough of the author. This book is her debut, and I'd really be happy if we can support an Indian Female author today instead of buying foreign authors from Amazon. Give this read guys, i swear its better than all you've read.
