This is my most favourite one in this series of Moments With God by Our Daily Bread Publishing team.
The book presents basic, common questions ask by kids and youngsters regarding god, faith, religion and belief.
I just love how the book answers each of these questions so effortlessly (and we know the amount of efforts the team must have put in to make it seem all effortless. Kudos to the team!).
Gift this to the child you care about. Because this is the kind of book which is perfect for questions we ourselves do not know how to answer properly.

Perfect for Children
Finding a meaningful devotional for children that isn't too complex isn't easy. However, the contributors of Moments with God for Kids has done a fantastic job. The daily devotionals address questions that children often ask. Each question is answered in a way that children can understand and has a Scripture verse for reference. It also includes questions that can be used for further discussion. As per the publisher's recommendations, the devotional is very appropriate for children eight to twelve years of age.

This kids' devotional is wonderful! I am a teacher at a Christian school and have more kids' devotionals than I know what to do with. When I first saw this book, I expected it to be like all the others, but it is unique to anything else I have found. What makes this book so special? The focus is heavily on the character of God. Most of the devotionals I have for kids focus on what God does for them and how they can be more Christ-like (all good things, of course). This devotional, however, focuses on WHO God is--a vital piece in developing a relationship with God and a solid foundation as a believer.
The author has wonderfully simple connections to describe each of the character-traits of God and/or Biblical concepts. They are perfectly for little brains to understand and comprehend, and she even includes a tiny glossary at the end of each devotional that explains big words or Bible concepts children may not know, such as sovereign and omniscience. She also uses high-interest connections such as movies and activities kids love.
There are also simple, thought-provoking questions at the end of each devotional which are perfect discussion starters to get kids thinking. I will definitely be purchasing this devotional for my classroom!

Great devotional for older kids and younger teens. It's broken down into different groups of questions like: Questions about God, Questions about Creation, Questions about Sin and Salvation, Questions about the Bible, just to give you an idea. It starts out with the topic, a scripture, the devotional content relating to the topic, and follows up with two new concepts I haven't seen before: Think about This! section that asks some thought provoking questions geared to this age range as well as a Big Ideas section that tells you what the big idea you should get from each particular devotion. Thought provoking and very well done. Great for family devotions.
On a side note, they also have a Moments with God for Women: 100 Devotions for Reflection and Renewal devotional and Moments with God for Men: 100 Devotions for Life and Adventure that are set up a bit different and yet done just as well as this particular devotion.

100 devotions for ages 8-12 that each have a heading asking a question such as:
Who is Jesus?
Why did God create people?
What is sin?
Is it a sin to change my body?
What does it mean to be born again?
Who wrote the Bible?
Why did God create families?
Below the heading question, there is a verse from the Bible that supports the topic. The devotion is written in a way that kids can understand. Many of them include analogies that are helpful to fully understand the Biblical concept. Topics are revisited during the 100 days by introducing a similar question, making for an increased understanding of complicated questions. In this way, the author builds upon the topic and is able to provide better understanding through sharing different Biblical points of view, eventually leading up to the plan of salvation. After each devotion, the book adds several questions in a “Think About This” section to prompt contemplation and conversation. Several chapters also incorporate a “Big Ideas” section that contains definitions of key words.
By the end of this book, I would expect a child to be so familiar with who Jesus is and what the Bible tells us about living the Christian life, that the child would be prompted toward salvation as the Holy Spirit leads. This is one of the best devotionals for families that I have read. It is marketed for ages 8-12; however, it would be a great resource and review for older readers.

I appreciate how the book addresses common questions that kids have. I would have liked to see more directly from the Bible. Some of the modern examples were helpful. Others were a stretch. Some discussion questions were distracting from the actual message. The part about Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels rebelling is conjecture.
