An intermediate textbook, which covers Italian culture in its readings, arranged in topics: sport, travel, fashion etc. Grammar explanations are in English.
The book can be used by self-learners too because the majority of exercises, at least for grammar, are for self-study.
It doesn't have as many and as lengthy reading passages as some of the other intermediate textbooks I've seen, but it does seem to focus more on grammar. This is not a surprise given that Danesi is known for his grammar books on Italian.
