I Must Be Dreaming

Rate this book
This memoir takes you through the triumphant journey of an Irish Catholic boy, who overcame obstacles of mistrust and abuse. When he was a young man, he was drafted and sent to Viet Nam where he returned a decorated soldier. Armed with a college degree, he was ready to face the world with a wife, two children and an education. He spent his career in the insurance industry where he forged life-long friendships. Somewhere in between, he rode cross country on a motorcycle, learned how to create stained glass artwork, hiked the Appalachian Trail, took on the role of Mr. Mom for a three and a half year period and motivated two sons to become Eagle Scouts.
In his fifties, he won a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Through a;; of the adversity, he maintained his sense of humor. Perhaps his biggest feat is the forty-one years of marriage to the same woman, who loved him so much, she wrote this book about him.

Wonderful Memoir between husband and wife. The author shares poignant experiences from her husband's youth, tour in Vietnam, their marriage, his battle won from esophogeal cancer, travels, and much more. They are the ideal American couple.
