One of my all-time favorite books about a strong female leader that changed American Culture. This one is about Juliana Force and how she shaped the Whitney. Read this twice.

Wonderfully engaging biography (of Juliana Force) and history (of the Whitney Museum) about a great subject. I'm disappointed that Thomas Hart Benton was such an a-hole.
