My first read from this author. This was way to fast pace for me. It was a cute story though. I personally did not enjoy this book. I do have a few more of the authors books on my TBR list- hoping one of them grabs my attention.

Shay is a single mother to her ten-year-old son Sawyer who has recently moved to town and despite the fact that she is working two jobs is finding it difficult to make ends meet. When her son wants to play soccer, he needs a physical which brings Clint back into her life.
Clint is a doctor who has been focused on his career until Shay comes back into his life. As they spend time together the feelings between them grow but will this be their second chance or is the past too much to overcome?
I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Clint and Shay unfold but I would have liked an epilogue to see how it all turned out.
This was fast pace knowing this is less than 100 pages and written in third person pov. But it's not something I expected reading about secret pregnancy and second chance. The guy only knew about it at the end (literally!) and honestly what kind of ending is that? I've read books with page count same as this but this story didn't even hold my attention and it's not even catchy. Maybe it's just me because I was looking for something more but this book didn't do it for me.
This is the first book I read from this author, but I'll still definitely try her other works.
Shay Austin left town years ago and now she and her son Sawyer are back and when the pediatrician Dr. Clint Parker, sees the woman he met in college but she has secrets. I really enjoyed this story and Sawyer cracked me up. I truly saw the struggle these characters had at finding their way. This is the ultimate second chance romance and it wasn't rushed and it was told in the way that let the characters grow and build. I am absolutely in love with Amy Stephens and how she tells me a story.
When a single mum returns to town with her 10 year old. Dr Parkers head nurse’s son is the same age and asks if the doctor can do the medical required and for it to be covered as the mum struggles. Dr Parker takes a keen interest in this family without knowing anything about them. When in comes time for the physical for the clearance paperwork a blast from his past is there and then need to work out their lives as she has a secret.

This is a second chance romance with strong characters in Clint, Shay and her 10 year old son Sawyer. The author does a great job developing the story as she brings them together years after they first met. It's well written, moves quickly and smoothly and is an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
The book moved along fairly well with a lot of description. One can really get into the storyline and feel as if they are there. The thing that got me the most was the fact that I only got HALF a book. It suddenly cut off at Chapter twelve with nothing after the main female character sent a text message to the main male character. It just stopped!
This is a good fast second chance story with the surprise kid twist.
Clint and Shay had met up for a night, now eleven years later Shay and her son walk into the hospital Clint works at. The surprise of seeing him is more than she can take as the secret is now holds.
Great read.
