This is a very good, detailed, yet concise and easy-to-understand book, about everything related to fracking. It covers the history and origins of fracking, how modern fracking works, and its benefits and drawbacks.
For an American public which has been largely misinformed by falsified media in the form of witness testimonies and self-proclaimed documentaries such as Josh Fox's Gasland, this book is a must-read to understand how exactly the fracking process works, and what it entails.
The book's only drawback is that it has not considered the global economic factors involved in fracking. At the time of printing, the oil crash had not yet occurred. But it is evident that fracking has not much of a future if oil prices continue to remain lower than shale gas.
A well done book! This is a hot topic, especially here in Nevada. I feel much more informed about the topic now. Very well put together and I would highly recommend teachers pick this up to share with their class!
