Angry with the lack of attention she and her little brother, Bix, receive from their busy parents, Billie chooses to take Bix and hide in Uncle Myron's car trunk, and while stowed away, they are somehow transported to a magical land.
I found this book tucked away in a huge discount mall. I instantly fell for the cover and begged my parents to let me get it. I was not disappointed. I spent the next three months rereading it religiously. I still shout kingfish I'm your biggest fan to all my friends and family I made read it. This book will take you into its magical world and you'll find it hard to get back out.
...interesting glimpse into past writing of an author I enjoy now. The entire time I was reading it, I felt like I was looking through one of those kaleidoscope toys, trying to follow all the bits of glass around the mirrors...what WAS that?!!
I can see the writers having a ball mailing chapters back & forth - better than a game of 'Telephone'. Still, it was a little...raucous.
