Exploring Calculus With Math T/L

Rate this book
Exploring Calculus with Math TL is a text/software package that uses Math TLT(formerly Calc T/L IIr), a powerful computer algebra system (CAS) designed to help students learn mathematics. By using Math TL in the calculus course, students become engaged in ''doing math'' not ''taking math.'' Instructors who want to use a CAS in their calculus course but who do not want to teach Mapler or Mathematicar will want to use this package in their calculus course. This text offers the instructor a range of exercises for integating CAS into the course. Instructors can construct labs by tailoring the exercises to the class, while the number and variety of exercises allows the labs to be used in successive years. The ''Additional Exercises'' section provides the instructor with exercises to challenge advanced students and with activities and exercises for developing students' communication and collaborative learning skills.
