But the Main Character is still a naive and stupid idiot most of the time. And I’m sure this author did this on purpose so he has something more to write about. However, it would have been more interesting to actually make your MC more intelligent instead of the stupid idiot that annoys the fuck out of all your readers. Case in point, instead of Quinn having a conversation with the only person who could train him to be a powerful Shadow user, he decides to reveal information that runs off said trainer. It’s moments like this that you wish you could have a serious conversation with the author in person. How stupid do you have to make your characters to give them room for growth. How about not making them stupid AT ALL!!! CAN YOU TRY THAT FOR ONCE!

These stories have everything and the kitchen sink in them and yet it still works the vampire craze science fiction portal spaceships special weapons special armor weird creatures it's got a lot of stuff this particular book addressed a significant portion of interesting things like how the Dalki were created! Powers of all the people that have now been changed turned and how powerful they are in reality!
It took some time for things to reorganize around the Vampire settlement as a setting, but its solid- for now. I hope we can learn more about Quinn and see his newly gained memories as actual parts of his life now.
