My first English book. I loved this book very much, it was written by Mary Tomalin in a rather easy-to-understand voice. At the last moment I was disappointed, but the ending made me happy. It was wonderful.
I just had to add this book because it was the first book I remember reading that really drew me into the adventure that a book can be. I am certain after looking at this book as an adult that I must have read an abridged version as I was 9 years old at the time, but I loved it.
