This was an OK book, better than nothing but really left a lot out. It didn't have any advice on cute little out of the way places. It also missed some of the things that would have been good to have in the book.

Depending on the edition, you need to check the attraction website to confirm that they are still in operation. Not a bad listing.

August 30, 2020Non-fiction; Travelogue. I had read parts of this previously, but decided to read it cover-to-cover. An interesting listing of some unusual / places to visit in the state.

I'm actually in possession of the sixth edition of this book. The book is divided into geographic locations. Some of the "Unique Places" listed are well known and others are not. Maps are included and phone numbers are listed, plus there are lists of places to stay and eat within each region.

I checked this book out because I was planning a trip to the U.P. According to this man, I think there are only four things to see there - the Soo Locks, Taquamenon Falls, Marquette, and Seney. It was NOT a help in figuring out where we wanted to go.

Many of the Kazoo and GR attractions I love most are not in there. I feel like I would give different information to people wanting unique/fun experiences in MI.

Just used this for a 2 week vacation through Michigan. A great resource.

A fun book to find quirky things to do. I like that it features the White Tail Deer Museum in Grass Lake! Could use a little more content per area though.

Good little book for ideas. Will need other sources for real details though.
