Murder at the Harlem Mosque is not for the feint of heart. It documents a period in the history of the NYPD that will leave many readers praying that it is a work of fiction. The death of Patrolman Philip Cardillo of the 28th Pct. is documented in depth by retired detective, Sonny Grosso, and it is a shameful moment in the history of the New York City Police Department. What you will read is a tale of murder, politics, and a cover-up that defies belief. You might be inclined to shake your head in disbelief until you realize that a lot of the players involved in this are still walking around and they are very well known names, including a sitting congressman.
