Rate this book
This is the third volume collecting Arndt's (Australian National U., Canberra) writings over his very long career. The papers are grouped into the topics of theory, policy, national accounts and external relations, and political economy. Many of the earlier papers are more theoretical, discussing Keynes' theory of wages; Hick's trade cycle theory; Keynes, deliberate saving and the consumption function; and Australian consumption function. Later papers consider Reaganomics, Keynes and Churchill, and globalization. No prefatory material is provided to the essays. Annotation Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
