I read wave 3 so was used to the style of Poe. appreciated his unbiased review of the industry he himself has never done. really wish he had a newer book as this book is quickly getting outdated (published in 1999). Poe includes anecdotes but presents them so they are not selling something, just showing how the industry works in individuals. It is in fact one of the best written books on network marketing because of this objectivity but beyond that, Poe was a writer so he knows how to write (not a networker who went to writing)
MLMs are for grifters. Their pyramid structure means a few very early people get wealthy by scamming the entire down line. They’ll sell you a dream and tell you it’s your fault you have an empty bank account and a room full of crap no one wants.
Richard Poe took out network marketing from the shadows and made possible for this magnificent industry to get the space, the respect and the recognition no just as a legitimate business, but s propeller force to move the economy in the 21st century.
