About a hundred million years ago there were no flowers on the earth. Nor were there people here. Dinosaurs were dying out and in their place mammals were appearing, and then something startling the very first flower appeared. The Remarkable Story of the Very First Flowers imagines her story for children--how hard it was being the first of her kind and how her fruit and seeds brought more food to the planet.
