Pez Collectibles

Rate this book
With PEZ dispensers, you get not only peppermint candy, but a toy as well! Today, PEZ collectors worldwide try to find all of the different styles.

After PEZ candy and dispensers were brought to the United States in 1952, over 250 different types of character heads were made. Licensed cartoon characters, movie and TV personalities and original designs are divided chronologically into five series, usually indicated by patent dates on the dispensers. Most of the variations of PEZ dispensers are show in 281 color photographs, as well as the premiums and store displays that helped sell them. The captions identify each item and give the current estimated values.

Author Richard Geary grew up in Lawton Oklahoma where his parents bought his first dispenser. He has been actively pursuing the hobby of PEZ collecting since 1983.

He is the founder and co organizer of PEZ- A-Mania, the largest national convention of PEZ dispensers, which is held annually in Ohio.

A good reference, but no where near complete (I doubt Pez themselves has a complete guide).
