On Labor Day weekend, 1935, a hurricane struck the west coast of Florida. Rescue workers finally arrived, found no one to save, and hundreds of cadavers were stacked like firewood and cremated on site.
Paranormal investigator Landry Drake goes to Midnight Pass to investigate recent mysterious disappearances and learns why old-timers claim the town is the devil’s workshop. Memories of the past haunt Landry as a friend vanishes and he must face the ultimate challenge to redeem his friend’s soul…and his own.

Now that was a book I sunk my teeth into!
Bill Thompson delivered 1000+% on this book! I'm A big fan of the Bayou Hauntings series and now this one. I was definitely reeled in hook, line and sinker right from the very first line in the book. It held my attention up until the last word! I just wish there was a shorter time between each new addition to the series! A year is just too long to wait!!!!

Excellent read from the amazing Bill Thompson
I have been following Bill Thompson for some time now. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the paranormal. This book is about Landry Drake and his associates as they investigate the disappearance of people in a town that was was hit by a hurricane and everyone in town lost their lives. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. A must read.

mesmerizing
The wonderful adventures of Landry and Cate continue in the everglades of Florida. A deserted town, missing persons over an 80 year span and the disappearance of a good friend Jack all lead to a place where plot twists and turns unfold. Difficult to put down and I read it in one afternoon. Can’t wait for the next adventure.

One of the best
I have read all of the books written by Mr Thompson. I was frightened within five pages of this story and debated with myself if I wanted to continue. I'm very happy I did. I liked how he wove Faith into his story and reminded me through Christ, all is possible. Looking forward to the third book in this series.

Excellent
Just when I think I will read the familiar story line Bill Thompson takes it beyond all the others. His style of writing makes the book another you don’t want to put down. While the characters are all ones we know from his other books he shows us new traits that enhance the story. This is a must read and second book of the series. I suggest reading them in order.

Great book!
Landry is back and heads to a ghost town in Florida to investigate several disappearances. What he uncovers is so creepy! I have enjoyed all of these books and look forward to reading the next one.

It kept me on my toes. Read it in one day. The people, town, weather, etc. Were so easy to visualize. Conversations were always easy to listen to.

Fabulous
I love all of Landry’s adventures but this is one of my favorites. I would recommend this book and all of Bill Thompson’s books to everyone I know.
