This is a children's book which explains a lot about British wildflowers. There are several illustrations on every page, explaining parts of flowers, how plants grow, what the purpose of flowers is. The book tells about the different kinds of wildflowers you might find at different times of year, and in what types of environment, from cities and towns to cliff sides. As it is aimed at children, it is brief and rather simple, but it is also informative. As someone who did not grow up in the UK, I found it interesting. Now I know the names of some of those plants I see growing wild. I think I bought this at a second-hand booksale. It has been lying around on Mount TBR for quite some time.
