An encouraging approach, beginning with the importance of observation and even following the child’s lead, while moving toward social interaction. Targets: social engagement, language, social imitation, play.

Lots of practical take-always, even for grandparents, no less than GI in a better understanding of what parents and teachers are doing so that we can hopefully better support and assist in the process.

I used this in conjunction with speech therapy classes and it is a thorough and intensive system- but it works for kids who have speech delay or are otherwise non-verbal with their communication. It is geared around kids under 2 up to school age. While this could be used as a stand-alone resource it is better utilized with the guidance of a speech therapist.
