This is the story of a mother's attempts to regain her children. In 1984 Catherine Laylle, a Frenchwoman living in London, met and married a German medical student. The couple had two sons, and the family moved to Germany. Catherine subsequently returned to England with the boys, who spent the school holidays with their father in Germany - until the summer of 1994, when Catherine's husband had the custody ruling of a London court overturned in Germany, and the boys were taken from her.

Sadly heartbreaking read.

A story of a mother's love & pursuit of justice for her sons. Very good but sad read, good page turner.

The story of a British mum who was victim of parental alienation, after her children were abducted to Germany by their fathers. The book, gripping, tells of her ordeal, especially at the hands of the family courts and against inadequate European laws. Everybody concerned about victims of abuse, and valuing critical thinking, ought to read this book; at least to know the background of the author and so understand her fight since then -especially if you are in Britain.

Indeed, Catherine Laylle, now Baroness Meyer, not only had her children kidnaped and alienated, but, she also co-founded/ founded the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children and founded Action Against Abduction, to tirelessly campaign to raise awareness on such issues and change the laws. And yet...

And yet, in the UK, when the Domestic Abuse Bill was debated and updated (back in 2021) her plea was mercilessly vilified, gaslighted, and smeared... by Women's Aid, feminist family barrister, feminist public servants, and all with the full complicity of an obnoxious mass medias! You've read that right.
