When kilted cabertosser Scott MacPherson tosses Leslie Livingston over his shoulder to rescue her from two armed thieves trying to steal her priceless amulet, they are thrust into a deadly but sexy adventure. Though Leslie already has a lukewarm, uninterested boyfriend, her attraction to Scott is whitehot and undeniable. She wants to lick this tall, muscular alpha male all over and explore the depths of eroticism with him. But will he want anything more than one night once the danger is behind them?
To My I’m a big fan of sexy men in kilts so I write about them at every opportunity. This story starts at one of my favorite events, Scottish Games. What happens when a sexually frustrated woman is rescued by the hottest man she’s ever seen… and he’s wearing a kilt, no less? While hiding out on a small yacht and protecting her from armed thieves, he shows her how incredible sex is supposed to be. But will she get to keep him once the danger is over? I hope you enjoy Scott and Leslie’s fun, hot story.
I loved this story. Leslie goes to the Highland Games in South Carolina. She's in line waiting to buy a soda when a British man starts asking her about an amulet that her grandmother gave her several years ago that she happened to wear to the games. He offered her money for it but she informed him that she wouldn't take any amount of money because of the sentimental value. As he lunges for the necklace Leslie backs into a hard wall of a guy in a belted plaid kilt with a low slung silver chain holding a black leather sporran. Wearing a white tee shirt and big work boots with clumps of grass around the soles. As the author puts it "Male earthiness emanated from his skin." He said to the guy "The lady said no, So beat it." Well there was definitely chemistry. Hot Hot Hot chem going on! Then as she has to turn cause its her turn to order, her boyfriend Flecher shows up. He'd gone back to the car to get his expensive sunscreen. Seems she and Flecher have been together for not quite a year but have agreed that not all relationships have to include a healthy sex life. Since theirs sucked anyway. They tried to make love twice in the time they've been together and it just didn't seem to work out very well for them, so they just didn't try again. Major frustration for a healthy woman. Uh!oh! Note vulnerable Leslie. Scot's girlfriend left him a year ago for a classier guy with money, so he's not ready to take on a lady who already has a boyfriend, although the attraction is undeniable. His morals wouldn't allow him to do that. Note vulnerable Scot. (with a huge hero syndrome) Note..an amulet with a tiny bit of Scottish magic. This is a fun fun story. (Oh! and sexy too. SWOON! Let's not forget the very bad guys who want that very valuable Amulet. Story includes DANGER!
There's a pretty good story in here, underpinning loads of smoldering sex.
Leslie is in a very unsatisfactory relationship with her golfing boyfriend, when she quite literally bumps into caber-tossing, man-mountain Scott at the Highland Games (known in America as the Scottish Games) in South Carolina.
A nasty British crook is after Leslie's seemingly worthless amulet, and it all turns a bit violent. Scott, and his mate Paul, save Leslie's life, and they hide out on a boat. The on board proximity leads to plenty of hot, steamy sex, with a bit of voyeurism thrown in for good measure. The couple who live on the next boat down like to put on a display!
I can't reveal to much more about the storyline without a few spoilers, but there is some very erotic rumpy pumpy, and a very happy ending.
Grab a bucket of ice and pick up this erotic read.
Right from the begging of Kilted Lover, I was hooked. Leslie Livingston is exploring her Scottish heritage at a festival when the hunky Scott MacPherson stands up for her to an aggressive British man intent on her amulet. And boy, does he live up to his name; this Scot is definitely fierce when it comes to protecting Leslie from a dangerous scheme to steal her unique necklace. When the pair is thrown together it brings about a new kind of ‘Love Boat’ and leads these two to a love worth fighting for.
The suspense and romance were perfectly balanced with Leslie’s innocence, Scott’s morals, deadly action and intrigue over the amulet. I loved the ending as well; it brought the story full circle.
But really, the main draw was Scot- he is just plain H.O.T. This is one kilted hero you must meet!

I love the Highland games in Texas, but I'm ready to visit the ones where Leslie found her hunk! Who needs the games when she can find her own with a willing...very willing partner! I love Ms. North's hunky Highlanders and can't wait for Laird of Darkness! In the beginning, Scott MacPherson is her protector, but he becomes so much more--a kilted fantasy come true!
An antiquities thief steals a cursed canopic jar, meets a 2000-year-old Roman with no heart, and falls in love/lust in 12 hours. The action is great - I loved the car chase scenes and the descriptions of the Curse with its buzzing insects, foul stench, and blade-like appendages. I had a hard time feeling anything for the couple though - both characters seemed flat and tired, and I couldn't figure out what they liked about each other. I would recommend this for fans of the author, or readers who want a short erotica with elements of The Mummy and The Scorpion King. Otherwise, it's easily skipped.
Leslie's innocence is very refreshing in the context of erotic romance. Scott is sexy, big, powerful, protective, intelligent, and fearless -- all the things we love in a hero. He's the reason I acquired this story. We can talk about how deftly the author balanced Leslie's light innocence against the story's darker suspense aspects, and we can talk about how the final scene in the Scottish beach perfectly sealed the thematic elements set up on the yacht, but I have to be honest. I acquired this story because Scott is hoo-damn sexy. The rest was just a bonus.
A Recommended Read! Does it get any better than a handsome hero that not only comes to your rescue, but tosses you over his shoulder and hauls you off like a caveman?…and he’s actually wearing a kilt? Ooh, that’s just scrumptious! To read this review in its entirety, please visit http://thereadersroundtable.com/eroti...
