Various points of view on how the fires should have been handled. Feelings stated include allowing natural fires to run their course all the time, nothing could be done as there were unusual circumstances preventing the suppression of these fires. Most Fascinating was the behavior of the animals during and after the fires. Bison would just move aside as the flames passed through an area. A seed eating bird suddenly becomes a carnivore cashing in on the huge amount of carcasses of dead animals lying all over the forest floor.
