The Pathway of Roses

Rate this book
To give the world emancipation is the ruling desire of all minds that are spiritually awakened; and these should remember that to overcome evil with good is the only way. Forget the wrong that may appear in the outer world of things, and give all your thought to the great good that is inherent in all things. You thereby place in action the greatest emancipating power that the human race will ever know. We are in bondage because We have lived to please the person. Follow the soul and freedom shall come quickly. Then We shall please the person better than ever before. To follow the soul is to enter the greater domains of life, those domains from which we may secure everything that is rich and beautiful and superior in human existence. The soul leads, not only into the life more abundant, but also into the actual possession of all the spiritual riches that the greater life may contain. And when we find the kingdom that is within, all that we may desire in the without shall be added. The soul that lives most perectly in the present creates most nobly for the future. Be yourself today, regardless of what happened yesterday. Be all that you are or can be today, and you will live in a fairer world tomorrow.

this is a beautiful book which I read in the early 90's for my Science of Mind groups. I highly recommend it for those seeking spirit. One may not agree with all or any of Larson's quiet words but they are food for thought in any case.

it is food for the troubled soul.... it invites us to pause and slow the mind, to breathe and contemplate. It helped me a lot when I was in need of a peaceful inner space... Perhaps it will help me again now. I know it has helped others too. Good stuff.

On only the second chapter. So much is going on and coming to me. It is expanding my awareness of the TRUTH.

Last night I read, "To use divine will, we must first have a lofty purpose in view; we must have something high and something definite that we wish to attain; we must have something upon which to apply the limitless power of divine will, and we must desire to reach that goal with the very deepest and strongest desires of heart and soul."

That's where I had to put the book down on only page 13. What is my lofty goal--where am I pulling down te invisible divine substance and materializing something from nothing. This is what my I have been focusing on today--for what grand plan am I living this life?

One the premiere books of the New Thought Authors. If you have ever read channeled material such as Seth, Ramtha or Abraham Hicks you maybe surprised to find that everything they espoused was already written out 100 years before by these American New Thought Authors.

Great insight

I have read several of his books, and they all turn our direction to look within ourselves for the answers to life, because that is where they lie.

"When everything goes wrong with us, we blame fate, environment, or the world. We forget that the world does to us what we have done to the world. When we blame the world for everything, the world will so act that it is to blame; but when we love the entire world with our whole heart, the world will change toward us accordingly and be kind." - Christian D. Larson

You really can't go wrong with any book written by Christian D. Larson. He has a special eloquence that is unique among "new thought" writers. The Pathway of Roses is surely one to inspire you.
