The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1884 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. It is used by Jehovah’s Witnesses to support their worldwide work, which includes publishing Bibles and Bible-based literature.

According to its charter, the corporation’s purposes are “religious, educational, and charitable,” in particular, to “preach and teach the gospel of God’s Kingdom under Christ Jesus.” Membership in the corporation is by invitation only and is not based on how much a person has donated. The corporation members and directors assist the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

"The pursuit of happiness" is something that Americans are taught about from early childhood.
"Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is a well-known phrase in the United States Declaration of Independence. The phrase gives three examples of the "unalienable rights" which the Declaration says have been given to all human beings by their Creator, and which governments are created to protect.
The why is happiness so elusive?
This book is as pertinent now as it was back in 1980 when it was published.
I remember when it was released, we were at the District Convention at Twickenham Rugby Union Ground in London.
This is a book about hope. It reminds us of what is really important in life, and how to put those priorities first in our lives, and to keep them there.
It helps us to avoid making many of the self defeating mistakes that most people make, and it reminds us that our Heavenly Father will bring peace back to this Earth again through His Kingdom through His Son.

The book answered some of my questions regarding the reliability of the Bible. I am not yet finished reading the Scripture itself but there are some that I've read and it was explained well in the book. Christianity can be well associated with Philosophy indeed. They have the same belief that even if we had good health, a fine home and abundant food, we would not be truly contented if we were surrounded by conflict, tension, jealousy, and wrath. In order to be truly happy - we must be at peace with one another and keep oneself without spot from the world. We can look to the Bible for guidance that can safeguard us against worldly problems.

You can read this book if you're as curious as I am about the Bible and Christianity. I still don't know if following a religion is necessary if you believe in yourself that you are already following Jesus. Although the book is written by Jehovah's Witnesses and I've learned a lot from their religion.

Twisted logic designed to make everyone convinced that true happiness can only come from obedience to the God of Watchtower. And that means blind obedience to Watchtower.

Otherwise, it is over simplified.
