I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I would recommend it for all trainee teachers who are on the course, it is not only useful for students specialising in Modern Foreign Languages. This book takes you on an adventure with a young Spanish girl named Dora. In the book we are introduced to various members of Dora’s family. Dora is teaching her younger brother basic Spanish words; she also has some help from her cousin Diego. The book is very colourful and very well illustrated which would be really appealing and suitable to children aged 5 and over. I think it would be a great resource to use while teaching at Key Stage 1 level. This book is an excellent introduction to learning Spanish. Each page has the sentence written in English and Spanish which makes it very easy to use even if you are not very confident in teaching Spanish. The book is interactive and has many pull-tabs and wheels which unveil Spanish vocabulary, which would enthuse children to learn on their own.
