Nice science fiction story, some what frighting.

I thought it was a good story about rebellion against an oppressive, forced homogenized existence, but I was a little letdown by the ending. I guess I was sad to see the individual being beaten by the status quo. While not that similar it did remind me of Harrison Bergeron.
