She was born in Bolton, which is the setting for many of her novels, and spent most of her life in Lancashire.

Liverpool trilogy

I'm glad to have come to the end of the trilogy of books based on Liverpool,too much humour and not much of a story in any of them. Sadly I didn't enjoy these at all.
