This is great. An anthology of plays that most Americans haven't even been exposed to. An example of Black people using media - the media of the day, as well as art, to protest. If you're an artist or playwright, I think this is a great addition to a library because it helps ground current artists in their Black literary ancestors. I am sure there are probably more in-depth anthologies of Black playwrights, but for me this was a solid introduction.
