Älteres Buch, das ich zur Reisevorbereitung benutzt habe. Es ist kein Reiseführer, hilft aber sehr dabei, jenseits der Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten interessante Orte und Landschaften zu finden, denn dazu gibt das Buch mit seinen vielen Abbildungen einen hervorragenden Einblick.
Das Buch ist nicht immer ganz aktuell, was Hinweise zu besuchenswerten Orten angeht: So ist zum Beispiel in Chateauneuf in den letzten Jahren viel restauriert und für den Besuch geöffnet worden, wovon das Buch noch nichts weiß.
