Walkware is the story of John Blackman. John is a young man who tests intelligent, mobile computer weapons and devices for a global corporation called SOT. John loves his job; his boss is also his best friend, and he is considered to be destined for the boardroom. But lately, things have changed. He is having a hard time focusing, the work he loved he now dreads, and paranoia is running rampant through his mind. The most unusual aspect of his changes is his temper — it is flaring beyond control, to the point that he is recommended to the care of Dr. Nura Al-Falini. Nura finds that her interest in John creeps beyond the realms of the professional. And in time, she also finds out that the basis of John’s psychological problems lies in a vicious secret that has been kept from him by the corporation. Telling John the truth about his problems could not only cost her career, it could also mean her life.
