'How do you think the lesson went?' is Fake Headteacher's collection of blogs and articles (Teach Primary magazine) written over a three year period between 2017 and 2019. Fake Headteacher is completely fictitious. Or is he? The book covers issues such marking, accountability, workload, well-being, non-negotiables, staff-meetings, Ofsted, report writing, SATs, holidays, toxic schools, displays, consistency, job interviews, resigning, NQT support, clubs, governors, exit interviews, reading, writing, maths, learning walks, data, pay, support plans, time-management, verbal feedback, evidence, praise, academies, learning objectives, behaviour, micro-managing, lesson observations, planning and much more. Hopefully, your school is not run like this anymore? Sorry if it is.
This book would be funny , if it wasn’t so true ! The book itself is a bit repetitive but it’s an honest look at the sorry state that education and teaching have become. Many teachers will resonate with every word that is written in this book.
