The "dark legends" collected in the book are definitely exciting. The author also tries to include the backgrounds (psychological, historical factors, etc.) of the protagonists. Sometimes, for my taste, this gets too out of hand and hinders the sensation-seeking reading flow. For example, it doesn't need to be constantly discussed that people in earlier times were superstitious - everyone knows that. In addition, there are always repetitions of circumstances that have already been described.

My last criticism is the small font size of the book. So, it would be better to increase the font size and leave out unimportant details.

That's why I will give it 3 out of 5 stars. The book is worth reading and informative nonetheless.
