Where to start! This book just grabs you and pulls you in! This book is all about Ali. She’s been known to dabble on the dark web. Not for anything other than her own curiosity, you see. But now she’s been asked by the UK government for help. They believe there could be something bad about to happen, they need someone like Ali to help them gain as much information as possible by using the dark web and thankfully, she agrees to help. We follow Ali as she helps tackle a terrorist attack and by the end you’re left hoping there’s a second book currently being written!
The amount of detail Lynne Pearson has put into this story is fabulous. Every page plays like a movie in your mind. You feel like you’re there, watching everything unfold. And by god does it unfold fast! This book is very fast paced, it takes no prisoners and personally, i didn’t see the last twist coming.
While it’s hard to explain any more of what happens in this book without giving big spoilers, just know this. If you’re into modern day situations, spy thrillers, staying up till 2am because you need to know what happens next kind of books then this is for you. You’ll be pulled into Ali’s world so quickly and you’ll be on the edge of your seat hoping she manages to help save the day. And as i said before, you’ll also be hoping there’s a second book. Fingers crossed!

I loved this book with its fast pace & twists and turns, I couldn't put it down. Well written and a pleasure to read. It is now being passed around my family as everyone is eager to read The Secret Spy. Can't wait for Lynne's next book.
