As a library steward of a library by an elementary school, I love stocking seasonal books. This is a sweet, Halloween themed book that focuses on a young child giving generously of her Halloween treats because the doesn’t want the man in the moon to miss out. This will appeal to young readers and is an appropriate read-aloud for classrooms which may contain sensitive children who are uncomfortable with the more scary parts of the holiday. Well done!

Full Moon tells the story of a magical Halloween through the lens of a child's imagination. Based on a simple (mis)understanding of a conversation between a little sister and her big sister while out trick or treating, a heartwarming tale of a child's caring nature ensues. A tale that is guaranteed to make you smile, inside and out! There is nothing quite like a child's intrepretation of everyday things.

The book is beautifully illustrated with vivid pictures that will imprint themselves on your child's mind when recalling the story (and yours as well!). It truly is a quality children's book in all ways: story, illustrations and materials, too! It would make a great addition to your annual Halloween traditions you share with your children and a really good book to read with your child anytime.

I also won this darling book about a young girl whose sister, Amy, takes her trick or treating. Along the way, our young girl looks at the moon and begins to ask questions - worrying very much about the well-being of the Man in the Moon. It appears that Amy isn't paying much attention to her little sister. In the end, you'll see that Amy was paying attention and is an awesome big sister!

This book will not last long in my little free library!

PS. After I read this to my 2 year old grandson, my husband said, "Awwww!" <3

Based on the film Full Moon. this children’s book about two sisters has the younger of two sisters send her Halloween candy and a note to the “man on the moon" in a charming tale of concern for others and an act of kindness.
