This is one of the most recent books on Peru in my library system. However, it is for much younger students than the Enchantment of the World titles. This book is for about 2nd and 3rd grade, and therefore has much simpler language, much less information, and is much shorter in length than the Enchantment series. For these younger students, the book covers the history, geography, daily life, holidays, celebrations, sports, and recreation of the country. The book also includes a simple recipe for limonada, and instructions for a game. It is illustrated with photos throughout. The book ends with a glossary, a brief bibliography, and an index.
