Wine-Dark Days

Guess they don’t call me Claret “Get F* ₵k3d” Moreau for nothing.

After six months on the run, I came home with one avenge my father’s murder. Too bad life never sticks to the script.

Abduction? Check. Chained to a werewolf’s bed? Double check. Newfound demon powers? …oh, crap. Revenge needs to take several back seats.

I come from a long line of hunters, but it turns out I’m not even a Moreau. Although…I maybe spent a decade killing in their name. And there may be a standing fae contract to take my head because of it. Look, even a one-woman killing machine can admit when she needs help, and right now I need all the help I can get.

Demons, werewolves, and witches—I used to hunt them for sport. Now, I’m in bed with them all. Well, enemies can become allies if you squint hard enough…right?

Wine-Dark Days is a high heat, polyam, paranormal romance. Due to dark themes, strong language, and graphic violence, it is recommended for mature readers. Triggers include psychological and physical torture, as well as child death.

Van D Vicious

Van is three cryptids stacked in a skin suit. They once beat Chuck Norris in a pec bouncing contest, but the Chuck stans refuse to admit he lost. You can usually find Van digging through dumpsters and crooning about pockets in flowery dresses. In their defense, the extra storage space really comes in handy for all the shiny rocks. When they aren't hissing at the sun, they wrassle raccoons and have tea with opossums. Life is a party; they aim to make it weird.

This book took me by the throat and never let go. It was a wild ride and I enjoyed every moment. The first person narrative voice of the MC, Claret is both quirky and compelling, and the plot is full of surprises. All the characters are well rounded, and I loved Malpas so much!! The book ended in a cliffhanger and I want the next one yesterday!!

This is a beautiful book about deep trauma and grief, and healing from it, wrapped up in snark, spicy sex, and urban fantasy. I need book 2 yesterday.
