Rate this book
Astra Crysomark is a Class 10 Empath and CEO in absentia of Crysocorp. Despite her talents and elevated status, she’s also hated and feared by the members of her society – even her own father, who lies to control her.

Noah and Timeon Helspawn have heard plenty about Astra Crysomark, most of it troubling. Now, their company and hers are headed for a merger, and the two brothers are determined to find out the truth about the enigmatic young woman.

From the beginning, the threesome feels a powerful bond, but is it genetics or is it love? When their worlds turn inside out, and they have only each other to cling to, they’ll learn that desire and sex are more than just the Games Empaths Play.

Currently living in the state that resembles one of her favourite male body parts (otherwise known as Florida), Cynnara Tregarth learned early how to read, write, and entertain. Due to her mother, Cynnara spent way too much on books, but then again, it sent her on the quest for immortality.

Early in 2003, she found that route by getting her books published. Since then, she’s learned even more about love, life, sexuality, and how to annoy gods, goddesses, and siblings of all kinds.

This book had a lot of problems for me. It's quite short so with half of the book being dedicated to politics and policies, the sex felt crammed in and the emotion was told to the reader, not shown. Between the politics, world building and odd scientific explanations there really wasn't room for much. I love sex scenes but these were seemed robotic to me. I'm also not big into dominance in the bedroom and the heroine being forced to submit. But if that's your thing, you may find the sex hotter than I did.

This was an ok book for me. It was good and the writing was great but to me it lacked the emotion. There werea couple of emotional parts but i feel that all the facts (about empaths and the laws and such) overpowered the passion and love between the two heros and the heroine.
