What Death Do We Part?

Til death do us part. Most of us that have said it don't know how real those words are until we are living it. Until we are living the sex and money that destroys a marriage. Until we are living the backstabbing and revenge that destroys a marriage. Until we are living the struggles that destroy the people in a marriage. It's not until we are living with the dead and dying parts of a marriage that we understand the deaths that do us part. This is a story of just that. The decisions, the hurt...the deaths that do us part.

Couldn’t Put It Down

I truly enjoyed the storyline. This book is simple and relatable. While I know that there is no writer that wants to hear that their book was “simple”, let me explain. Often, when I’m reading certain books, I find myself lost slightly outside of the actual story because I’m highlighting words that I either can’t pronounce or define. I think it is important to have those moments when reading, but that it shouldn’t be multiple times a page. There were advanced words here or there that one may already know, but doesn’t use often. However, it didn’t take me outside of the story. I was able to use context clues easily and keep reading. Sure that is a flaw of the reader, but I think in our community it is important we have literature like this. If I can read it, I can understand it. If I can understand it I can relate to it. If I can relate to it, I can recommend it. Which is all a goal of a great writer.

I believe that anyone “can” read this. This book is for both men and women. It most appeals to the African American community because of the lingo. However, the story itself can be any one of us.

Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to read more. ❤️
