This book would be a great addition to a study of the moon in any classroom. I enjoyed how it was based on questions young kids would ask. I also like how the vocabulary words are highlighted to encourage the correct use of academic language. As an adult, this is a young book and sometimes makes you feel childish with the author’s response to questions, but it is a very informative book about the moon. Especially great for quick facts.

The book of Moon facts was written as a children's question and answer. Kids questions about the moon are in letter form to a Professor Brainy, at which point answers to the questions are responded to directly. I liked that this was a straight to the point factual book about Earth's natural satellite. Though parts seemed repetitive I think that it really was an excellent read.

This non-fiction text had a great schtick to get a kid into it. However, it was written at a pretty high level for second graders.
