The Farmer Says I Do

That is, until Becca showed up and stole land right out from under him. Land he used to feed his cattle. Now she needs his help. How could they possibly work together, especially with the push/pull chemistry flowing between them? I love this story about love between the most unlikely pair. There weren’t two people anymore different in high school than Stan and Becca. He was the jock and she was the outcast. She left town as quick as she could and now that she’s an adult she’s returned to help her parents and start and alpaca farm.
Stan remembers Becca but didn’t really know her in school. That doesn’t mean he isn’t ready to get to know her now. There’s something intriguing about her honesty and beauty.
This is a well written book that clicks all the boxes. It has romance, conflict, and of course a happy ending. It also shows how hard it is to put insecurities behind us, and how the way we are raised affects our choices as well as our perception of ourselves.
In this book love conquers all and I loved the pacing of the story, as well as Stan and Becca’s personalities. Great story!

This second Goodrich County novel focuses on Becca, who came back to town reluctantly to help her parents with their hardware store, and Stan, the down to earth, hard working farmer. Becca was lured back by the promise of land - land that Stan had been leasing to grow feed for his cattle. But Becca had a plan. She came back from her travels and real world experience with a dream: herding alpacas, her gentle, sweet animals she could breed for their fur. Their relationship goes through the expected convolutions and misunderstandings but you can't help rooting for them. Packed with drama and a thoroughly researched understanding of alpaca farming, The Farmer Says I Do is both entertaining and educational. I had the privilege of having an advance reader copy for this book.

Becca and Stan have a story.
Stan helps out at his family's cattle farm. He was burned by his girlfriend years ago. He's shy about starting to date. Becca went to the same high school but was teased and tormented. She left more than a decade ago to get away from that. Now she's back because of family troubles. See what happens when these two get together.

A beautifully written book about two unlikely people. Becca has always had a hard time in life. When she goes home to take care of her Father, there might even be a chance for romance. A well written, heartwarming story that feels realistic.

Another well written sweet romance story!
I never was dainty or petite. Never afraid to get a job done either. I found my soul mate at our 20th high school reunion. This story really resonated with me and I truly appreciate Sharon A. Mitchell's talent.
