Crossroads: The Long Way Home feels less like a novel and more like a quiet conversation with your own conscience. Following a teenage boy from Southeast San Diego, the story captures that fragile moment in life when every choice feels small but carries the weight of a future.

What makes this book powerful isn’t just the five possible paths, but how deeply human each one feels. Fear, hope, pride, temptation, and faith all collide at the crossroads, reminding us how close we all are to becoming someone else entirely. The narrator’s spiritual presence gently nudges you to reflect, not judge and suddenly you’re thinking about your own turning points.

This is a story about responsibility, consequence, and grace. About how one decision can redirect a life and how courage sometimes looks like choosing the harder road home. Thought provoking, sincere, and quietly moving.

Engaging and Inspiring

I found this a quick and interesting read. I liked the “shadow” twist on the traditional guardian angel and the plot kept me engaged. The characters are well drawn and satisfying. There are a few errors of the typo variety, but they didn’t wreck my enjoyment of the story.

Had me at Chucks

This nostalgic book of life's choices mixed with the many variables in life grabbed me from the start. There were a few times I caught myself in thought thinking about the decisions and choices along the way.
