Such a SWEET story! Chrissy’s character can show kids that it’s possible to make their goals and dreams come true. I thought it was really sweet how much she loved her grandmother, too. This would be a really fun book to read WITH your kids!

Chrissy's loves candy & sweets, well who doesn’t?
1-day she would like to own a candy store.

Will Chrissy's dream come true?

A very awesome book cover, & proper font & writing style. A very well written children’s adventure story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s adventure movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. Kids are visual! It sure could have used some colored pictures. That said I will only rate it at 3/5 stars.

Chase your dreams

The message of this sweet story is that you should chase your dreams, whatever they may be. For Chrissy, it was to own a candy shop, which her grandmother helped her achieve after many years of dreaming about the business and learning how to make all sorts of candies. Other than a few editing issues within the story and wanting to see the candy creations Chrissy would finally make in her shop that weren't shown in the book (which I expected after reading the front matter about the person who inspired the story), I thought this was a cute story for kids who have an entrepreneurial inclination. My seven year old would really love this because she has quite a sweet tooth and wants to own her own bakery someday, so she would relate to Chrissy.

Chrissy's Candy Shop is a sweet read about Chrissy who loves candy and dreams of one day owning her own candy shop.

This is such a lovely story and I think what makes it so special is seeing the relationship Chrissy has with her grandmother. It's heartwarming to see how they're such great friends and always want the best for each other. I like how we get to see Chrissy as she grows up in the story and ends up with the loveliest surprise at the end.

The illustrations are very pretty with lots of pastel colours and candy shown throughout the pages of the book. This gives the book a cute feel to it and makes it a very sweet story indeed.

This is a brilliant book showing love, dreams and the kindness of grandmas. I'm so glad I found this lovely book, I'd definitely recommend it.

A Dream Come True

What I love about this book is that it follows Chrissy from childhood into adulthood. She and her grandmother have an amazing relationship that develops and changes over the years. Chrissy knows from an early age what she wants to do professionally and, thanks to her grandmother, her wish becomes a reality.

Great book! I enjoyed watching Chrissy grow and put the pieces into place to achieve her dream!

A sweet story that kids will love

This is such a cute story that teaches children a great lesson about the importance of hard work, patience, giving to others and following your heart. It also celebrates the bond between two family members. A sweet story with adorable illustrations that children will love (and what kid doesn't love candy?!). Highly recommended.

A Dream

Not only did the girl want a candy store, but she pursued it her entire life through her experiences. This book serves as a great model to children who have desires and passions to pursue their dreams. Despite trials and tribulations, you can do anything that you set your mind to! It’s nice to see how the girl’s dream becomes a reality.

A girl's passion follows her throughout her life

Who can resist candy? But this story isn't just about that - it's about the special relationship between a girl and her grandma - a passion for candy & making it that lifts Chrissy's spirits - and that passion leading to the perfect job when she's older. Calm and comfortable illustrations are a wonderful match for this story.

A sweet story

The love of candy can take you places. The author showed how a little girl’s dream can become reality. I enjoyed the vibrant colors that the illustrator used. The bond between grandmother and granddaughter was beautiful.

Chrissy’s Candy Shop is inspired by the author’s friend Chrissy who has her own business making candy tables. The book is 35 pages long and about a girl named Chrissy who wants to own a candy shop. The story also revolves around the relationship between Chrissy and her grandma, which was sweet to read. The illustrations add cuteness to the book while the story teaches children about not giving up their dreams and the value of family.
