I thoroughly enjoyed this enthralling story which was set in an area of West Virginia where some of my relatives still live! Since there were old photographs included in the book, I was able to get a fuller understanding of the areas described as well as of the people and their particular characteristics which made this book come alive so vividly for me. The story drew me in to the point that I was dismayed to not be able to read it from cover to cover without interruption!
