Java Programming for High School Students

Rate this book
Whereas many programming books are written for programmers and technology professionals, this book is intended for students with little or no programming experience enrolled in introductory or pre-AP Java programming classes, or anyone who wants to learn the basics of programming. It serves as a step-by-step guide for understanding basic programming concepts and creating computer programs using the Java Standard Edition platform and the TextPad editor. Java Programming for High School Students focuses on learning-by-doing, containing exercises for reinforcing concepts and terminology, activities for utilizing code demonstrated in the text, and end-of-chapter exercises that can be used as quizzes and for progress checks. To help students improve troubleshooting skills, debugging exercises also accompany each chapter, as do chapter tests and a long-term project that builds on each concept.

Concise and clear. A great introduction. Had quite a few typos and mistakes though.
