After signing a 20-year non-disclosure agreement these men of the Top Secret U.S Army Special Forces (Green Berets), Military Assistance Command Vietnam - Studies & Observations Group (MACV SOG) would not discuss their actions to anyone including their own families. It would not be until the early 1990's that they could finally discuss their actions in what today is called the "secret war". With support and approval from these covert warriors of SOG "Pucker Factor Stories of MACV SOG" was created. This has given me the ability, and now a platform to share never heard publicly, stories and photographs, intertwined with historical events of SOG. The recollections and words are their own, some are humorous, some are sad, most describe events that the average person can not conceive. We thank them for their service to the United States of America.

MACV SOG Veterans had this to say about Pucker Factor stories of MACV SOG.

SMG Robert Ramsey - I am a SOG recon vet and have read a number of books about SOG since it was declassified but Jason has found a niche that is unique providing experiences from the three different units and different time periods. These are stories could amaze you but more importantly are now preserved in history and are first person accounts . SOG Veteran Lynne Black Jr. Author of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot I returned to civilian life July 1970 after three Vietnam combat tours. The last two of those tours were with MACV SOG. Looking back 50+ years during my time in SOG I sometimes wonder how in the heck any of us survived small teams going up against hundred-to-one odds. We were all volunteers in that Top Secret Studies and Observations Group (SOG); men from many countries and from all walks of life fought their way across the DMZ and down the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos and Cambodia. Those of us who survived salute in remembrance our fallen friends and mourn for their families. I am proud to have served with each and every one of them and thanks to sources like Pucker Factor our history and deeds are being immortalized.

Another issue of this highly recommend newsletter

I think America owes a debt to our veterans, even more to our combat vets, especially to those who served in Indochina, who were vilified by the press and much of the public.
This newsletter highlights a group of those vets who had a particularly dangerous and classified job, and reminds us of who they were and what they did in service to their nation.

It's very worthy of reading.

More like a scrap book. Hard to read.

With some editing skill this could be a really good book. As is though, it's very difficult to read... Needs work.
